After two years, a lot of research, and a lot of explanations of why a safer plastic is a good idea; the site is now selling pvcFREE and PhthalateFree plastics as options to standard PVC.
Check out pvcfree.org if you are not familiar with the risks with standard PVC.
As President of http://EverydayPlastics.com I will continue to sell pvc vinyl, but I do want to be part of creating a market for the alternatives. Especially where young children are involved, we want to make sure that we offer safer products.
We are also considering a line of phthalate-free wallet inserts so that young children teething and chewing on them (as we may have done) are not exposed to the leaching plasticizers or dioxins.
I don’t know the sum of the risks, but I will be publishing material and commenting on other publications that discuss plastics, especially in light of CPSIA.

GOP Senator to Back Obama’s Small Business Aid Bill – CNBC.
I am glad that a thinking man forced Senators to use a different playbook.
It appears from the article that Voinovich traded his vote for the Small Business Aid Bill for a reconsideration of the requirement for expanded 1099 reporting in the Health Care Reform, now law.
It is nice to see Voinovich do this. It is weak to only have them ‘reconsider’ the 1099 issue.
I would assume that the 1099 increased visibility is to spark tax revenues to pay for all of these bailouts and health programs.
So, please reconsider how you are going to pay for all of the ‘stuff’ that you have already max our credit card (budget) on.
I would have said, you get my vote after the amendment for this is fully heard. To keep either ‘side’ from shenanigans.
Just a thought!

Another wonderful sign of the ‘recovery’.
People once dedicated to saving for the future are taking money out to survive.
I feel it, that awesome recovery.
Fidelity: 401(k) hardship withdrawals, loans up – Yahoo! News.
This is finally same information that even though it is grim, seems to be more accurate than the mis-information that has been provided to us.
Yeah, we get it. BP didn’t know that this would happen. But, you can certainly bet that they knew that it could.
They also knew that the American citizens will move on to the next drama while this horror continues. We have always done this.
I could go on, but it pisses me off far too much.

Proof that humans should not eat raw foods. Just kidding.
If you want to be safe, do your best and with a healthy balance you will find that while you get sick, you will not die from such foods.
Chill out and let your greens do the same in a bath of icy water and check for anything that appears to be less than appealing.
