This is finally same information that even though it is grim, seems to be more accurate than the mis-information that has been provided to us.
Yeah, we get it. BP didn’t know that this would happen. But, you can certainly bet that they knew that it could.
They also knew that the American citizens will move on to the next drama while this horror continues. We have always done this.

I could go on, but it pisses me off far too much.

A friend had commented on Facebook and I thought it germane.
Did you know that the part of the gulf they are talking about has had hydrocarbon plumes and major natural oil seepage from the bottom of the ocean for eons? There are micro-organisms that are specific to this part of the world that eat these plumes and oil seepage as their only food source. I don’t think that this is a disaster as much as it is a diversion tactic……diversion from the war that we never hear about any more….diversion from the immigration problems that we are having,…….diversion from the building of the mosque in New York……just my theory……..What do you think? Please know I am not diminishing the fact that the oil/BP in the gulf was terrible…. I just thought the micro-organisms eating oil was fascinating, and I think there are so many things that we don’t hear anymore…ie the war …..I some times am a conspiracy theorist…….Yeah, we have a lot to be pissed about.

Tamara, I consider what you suggest and the history of this country leads me to the cynical conclusion that we are both right on the money. The majority of our citizens lack the courage and the fortitude to stand for much of anything beyond the headlines of the news. All of the news outlets are biased, but we suckle the breast of the organization that will give us the milk that we craze, to assuage of fears, and to dull our senses.
We should all be forced to READ Fahrenheit 451, Logan’s Run, Brave New World, Brazil, Lord of the Flies and Animal Farm. Then, read through the rubbish that we are presented in the name of news.
OMG, we might even regain the ability to question the messages that we are sent without having to stand in front of tanks.
